In his first year at Chapman University, two films produced by Walker were nominated for Best Picture at Chapman University’s Student Filmmaker Awards. Prior to school he produced an independent film, "One Shot", which enjoyed a healthy run in the festival circuit. McBride is currently working towards his MFA in Producing from Chapman University
